S Tier DPS Specs in Dragonflight 2023

Arcane Mage

Arcane is one of the more complex specs, he has competitive single target, but more importantly has the best single target burst damage in the game right now for small burst windows. On longer burst windows it gets beaten out by Unholy DK, but they only get to burst every 3 minutes while Arcane has much more frequent windows. At the moment Arcane is your go-to Mage spec on primarily single target fights. Mages are also still quite strong defensively, and immunities like Ice Block Icon Ice Block will always have value in a raid. This is an S tier spec, it's just domination. All of the top Mages in the past even in the race world first, they're all playing Arcane right now, and Arcane is actually really good.

MM Hunter

Marksmanship Hunter is also one of the only range specs that's actually keeping up with the top melee boys. They excel at 3-5 target cleave and offers decent AoE burst, but ultimately their damage is just low. But owning MM Hunter is a good choice just for gearing optimization. If you're playing a Marksman, you're going to have good times all across the board. So put him into S tier.

A Tier Dragonflight Ranged DPS Specs for the Raid

Demonology Warlock

Putting into demonology all the way into A tier. This spec has mediocre single target damage, but deal incredibly strong cleave and burst AoE with relatively little talent tree investment. As a damage dealer they are still decently weak for raids, but given that you need at least one Warlock and that they are the most durable non-tank class in the game. We expect demonology is the Warlock spec of choice this season at least for now. it's slightly above Affliction which is really good that she's not at the bottom. But demonology A tier is also the tier where you actually see a noticeable spike in terms of performance as opposed to beat you. So the difference between A and B is bigger than B and C for instance.

Elemental Shaman

Elemental Shaman is up at the A tier, it's a smudge below S tier, but it's actually doing surprisingly well and considering that enhancement is statistically in Mythic+ it’s still better than Elemental. Elemental being able to keep up with it, that's actually kind of cool because we see boomi really far afraid of feral and stuff like that. The elemental shaman is basically that ring spec that can tilt well with everything. So you can talk about some specific specs that can do well on pure single target, Elemental is doing great, this has been a consistent spec all throughout and we don't see the big issues with it, it's respectable A tier.

B Tier DPS Specs for Vault of the Incarnates Raid

Affliction Warlock

Affliction Warlock is a very respectable spec, we've seen it in the Mythic+ scenario, Affliction will have been really down at the bottom and right now it's kind of into beats, and although we went through this in the melee tier list, we can probably caveat it again, the tier list themselves meant something different this time around because it's very early into the season and B tier is where the solid specs are which is probably what you're going to see. It'll move up into A and S here as things even out because they're very solid, people use them in the race of world first. Affliction has been doing pretty great.

Boomkin/Balanced Druid

This is a weird one and it is the reason why MarcelianOnline is doing the tier list and the way that they're doing them is because in terms of actual numbers in the overall scene of things, Boomkin is also beat here with Affliction, and they're probably a little bit better, but so far the gills that are using Boomkin can push the hardest haven't actually logged as many parses into Boomkin to push him ahead of Affliction, so this is kind of how it looks right now. Boomkin is really solid and the fact that in the average sense, Affliction is keeping up supposedly so far in numbers. In terms of the data, you have seen Boomkin’s in a lot of the counts for race the world first, so it's obviously it's not a bad spec, so rank him in B tier.

Beast Mastery Hunter

Another respectable spec, but with very high competition and still with the competition of marksman. BM is actually holding it into B tier with the average. They're doing a little bit better than boomkins in terms of overall stuff. While not as "required" as some other classes and specs, having at least one Hunter on your roster will ensure the gear is not wasted and will help round out your raid composition.

Devastation Evoker

Devastation is a little bit weird, we dabble into the devastation more than any other DPS spec. Devastation clearly has an issue with single target, it's all the way into B tier where the solid specs are and they're good at one thing for instance. BM is good at AOE but a little bit poor in single target, kind of similar to Devastation as well, and that the AOE though, so that's probably what the attraction is to having a Devastation into your group is to explode everything in Mythic+. They have the proper tool, so if you're not going to have preservation healers, you're definitely going to want some Devastation just for that loveliness over there, they have a lot of good things to save a couple of melees from here. They have bloodless, they have the red buff that shortens the cooldown ability and that's really useful for melees. So this is the thing when you're talking about having a couple of Devastations in your group, you're gonna have to especially in Mythic progression things like these small things can go a long way.

C Tier Best DPS Classes in WoW Dragonflight 2023

Shadow Priest

Put this spec into C tier. Shadow Priests have mid-tier single target damage, decent AoE potential, and some mild execute damage. Overall, Shadow Priests are mediocre damage dealers that do not bring much in the way of damage output themselves. However, this changes when you factor in Power Infusion Icon Power Infusion. Priests can now use Power Infusion on someone other than themselves and it also applies to the Priest. This is a huge damage increase for the target you apply it to, and when that damage is factored in, Shadow becomes significantly more attractive as a damage dealer.

D Tier Ranged DPS Specs in Dragonflight 2023

Destro Warlock

In terms of the damage, if you play Warlock, you will be happy with all of the specs except Destro Warlock. Destruction Warlocks have mediocre single target damage, but solid 2-target cleave thanks to Havoc Icon Havoc. We should put this spec into D tier. At this point in terms of D like normally we kind of try to put up perspective like this you can probably play anything but deter is just weird, this is just struggling in terms of numbers, you can clear some bosses and obviously some of the specs have also gone into Mythic a little bit, so it's not like be all in all you cannot really play it. But there's clearly a decent difference between D and this is the thing because you you're looking at the detail specs and there's always the another spec within that class that can do much better.

Fire Mage

Fire Mage is possibly the weakest Mage specialization right now for raiding, entirely due to low damage output. They like to hold hands and make like a little circle and downs around because they like fires, so you're going to see a decent amount of logs in heroic for fire, not that many on Mythic. We don't if they used it for a quirk or a specific farm or some splits or whatever, but it's just Arcane like the difference is night and day.

Frost Mage

Frost is not much better, they're kind of all in the same. We have the two other Mage specs that are competing with Arcane and Arcane is doing so good right now, it has so much damage, i it outshines, it outskills, everybody's playing Arcane not only are they not playing them but the difference is way too big for it to just be a popularity issue, and Khadgar has something to do with the man because Kevin was on the bench for too long look. There are a couple of problems with the design but also the performance, the DPS is just not there and there's a clear difference between the damage profile of a Fire and a Frost Mage when it is compared.
