Season 5 of Last Epoch has arrived with a fresh seasonal mechanic called Rage of Morditas, and the Weaver Tree has been reworked to support it. Players now have fresh nodes to spec into, buffed imprint behavior, and brand-new ways to funnel loot from the Blood Ritual event directly into their builds. This guide walks you through the current state of the Weaver Tree, what changed since Season 4, how to earn points efficiently, and the best setups for different farming goals in Season 5.
Last Epoch Season 5 Weaver Tree Guide
The Weaver Tree remains the central passive system attached to the Monolith of Fate. It still lets you influence what echoes appear, which rewards they carry, and how often specific mechanics show up during your runs. In Season 5, the tree gained three new nodes built around the Rage of Morditas event, received buffs to the imprint branch, and had one Echo Web interaction rewritten. Hotfix 1.5.1.1 (October 3, 2026) also patched a launch bug where Portents of Blood rewards could spawn pre-ruined, so anyone who specced into that node on day one should re-check their results.
Now that you know where the tree sits today, let's look at exactly what Eleventh Hour Games adjusted for this season.
Changes to the Weaver Tree in Last Epoch Season 5
Season 5 brought several targeted changes that shift how you build the tree compared to Season 4. These adjustments affect imprint behavior, Echo Chain pathing, and the entire Rage of Morditas branch.
-
Imprint Branch Buffs
The imprint family received a direct power boost this season. Imprinted items now drop from enemies and Echo rewards about 20% more often, and they drop from Lost Caches around 40% more often. Imprint drops also keep high-tier affixes of the imprinted item more frequently. If you were skipping imprints during Season 4 because the return felt weak, that calculation has changed.
-
Echo Web Reset Behavior
The Memories of the Observer node was rewritten. When you reset an Echo Web through the Sanctuary of Eterra, the Echo Chains at the start of the web no longer spawn with Woven Echoes to their sides. Any old "imprint, run ten Echoes, reset, repeat" loop you may have copied from a Season 4 guide no longer refills the web the same way, so double-check your plan before blaming your gear.
-
Three New Rage of Morditas Nodes
The Rage of Morditas branch is entirely new. All three nodes do nothing outside of the seasonal mechanic, but they turn the event into a loot funnel when activated:
- Ubiquity of Rage gives your Echoes a higher chance to contain Rage of Morditas encounters. Spec this when you want the Blood Ritual on demand rather than waiting for random spawns.
- Seekers of Ice and Blood greatly raises the drop rate of unique items and item subtypes specific to Rage of Morditas, at the cost of second-phase enemies dealing more damage. Take this once you clear phase two comfortably.
- Portents of Blood replaces one random second-phase enemy with a random Omen and causes a pile of corrupted items to drop at the end. Patch 1.5.1 fixed the launch bug where those corrupted drops could appear already ruined.
With the mechanical shifts covered, the next question is how many points you actually have to work with and how fast you can earn them.
Last Epoch Season 5 Weaver Tree Max Points Progression
Weaver Points come from exactly two sources: your rank with the Woven faction, and completing Woven Echoes for the first time. Character levels grant nothing. To open the Woven faction, finish your first Cemetery of the Erased in the Monolith, meet Masque at the Haven of Silk, and spend Memory Amber on faction rank.
How To Get Weaver Tree Points
Here is where each point comes from, using the itemization most third-party resources agree on:
- Woven faction ranks 1 through 8 give 1 point each.
- Woven faction rank 9 gives 2 points.
- Woven faction rank 10 gives 3 points.
- Each Woven Echo you finish for the first time gives 1 point.
- Tomb of Vessels and The Fading Brink each give 2 points.
The official Season 5 patch notes do not restate the total ceiling. The Eleventh Hour post from April 2025 referenced 50 total points, while Maxroll's itemization adds up to 53. Open your own tree in-game, read the counter, and plan against that figure rather than either number from outside sources.
Early-Season Point Rush
Season 5 launched with 36 Woven Echoes in the pool, which means the first week of a new season pays better than any other stretch of the cycle. Each unique first completion grants a point, so prioritize running Woven Echoes you have not touched yet over repeating the same ones for currency.
Once you know how your point budget grows, the next step is deciding where to put those points for your current farming goal.
Last Epoch Season 5 Best Weaver Tree Builds & Plans for Different Farming
The Weaver Tree is fully respectable through Memory Amber, so you should shift your setup as goals change. Below are four setups covering the most common Season 5 farming targets.
1. Weaver Tree Plan Strategy for Early Game Point Snowball
Your first priority after opening the Monolith is building point income so every later setup has something to spend. This plan funds itself and should carry you through roughly the first week.
- Pick up the echo and reward frequency nodes first. They raise the odds of Woven Echo drops, and each new Woven Echo completion gives another point.
- Grab the Echo Chain nodes early. Spec one point into the node that causes most regular echoes in your web to appear in Echo Chains, then take four stacks of increased Omen Echo Chain chance. This keeps chains flowing almost non-stop.
- Avoid Fury and Fortune for now. It sits behind Warden's Echo, which injects dungeon enemies, and the permanent Enraged state at +35% movement speed and +60% attack and cast speed will delete an underbuilt character.
Once your point income is rolling and you have access to imprints, you can shift to targeted farming.
2. Weaver Tree Plan Strategy for Rage of Morditas Crystal Rush
This plan is built around the Season 5 Blood Ritual event. The idea is simple: enter an Echo, if a Rage Crystal spawns, farm it and finish fast; if not, finish the Echo as quickly as possible and move on. Testing by a player at 195 corruption produced 15 crystal clears and 74 blood charges in a single hour.
The point allocation looks like this:
- Spec Ubiquity of Rage at +20% chance to raise how often Morditas encounters appear in your Echoes.
- Pick up Seekers of Ice and Blood to boost the chance of the two Morditas uniques (Withstand of the Elements gloves and Unsated Rage ring) appearing in the reward pool.
- Take Portents of Blood if you also want corrupted copies of your reward items dropping at the end of phase two. One player confirmed getting a duplicated corrupted copy of a Legendary Potential 2 glove with three new affixes directly from this node.
- Skip tombs, cemeteries, and special woven nodes during the rush. Only engage with the mechanic if the Crystal spawns.
A reminder for the Morditas uniques: never run Ice Ritual or Blood Ritual directly on the unique item on the far left. The item will be destroyed. Pick a different item category when rerolling, and the icon on the unique will change instead (a recycle symbol for Ice reroll, two upward arrows for Blood potential chance). Only use the center claim button on the unique itself.
3. Weaver Tree Plan Strategy for Target Unique Farming via Imprints
With the Season 5 buffs to imprint drops (20% from enemies and Echo rewards, 40% from Lost Caches), the imprint path is far stronger than it was last season. This setup works well when hunting a specific unique like Titan Heart, the Machaza shield, or any build-defining item.
- Imprint one Woven Echo related to your target. Duplicate imprints of the same Woven Echo give no extra benefit per Maxroll, so use the second slot on a different target.
- Add the imprint nodes that boost the chance of the imprinted item keeping its high-tier affixes.
- Skip Memories of the Observer unless you are specifically fishing imprints through web resets, since the Season 5 rewrite removed its old Echo Chain refill behavior.
- Pair this with the Ubiquity of Rage node if your target can drop from the Blood Ritual event, since Rage Crystals now count as additional loot funnels for keyword-matched items.
4. Weaver Tree Plan Strategy for Corruption Pushing
For players who want to climb corruption fast and chase Harbinger drops, this setup leans on the needle-and-gaze loop rather than on raw drop rate.
- Grab the Echo Chain nodes early so boss echoes spawn right next to your current position after each run.
- Keep Fury and Fortune off the plan until your defense can handle Enraged packs.
- Avoid imprint-heavy spending; corruption pushing cares about speed, not targeted drops.
- Save spare points for Ubiquity of Rage if you want Morditas spawning alongside your Harbinger runs for extra experience and gear.
The loop itself is straightforward. Farm blood charges from Rage Crystals until you have 10 or more Gaze of Orobyss, then fight the boss Echo. If a Harbinger's Needle drops, equip it in an idol slot before engaging the Harbinger. The needle grants three additional Gaze of Orobyss on top of the one you earn from the boss, so each successful fight gives four. Stack these, then feed them to Orobyss encounters further from the center of your web to add corruption in large chunks. One player went from 252 to 360 corruption across two short runs using this method.
Note that cemeteries and tombs do not grant stability in Season 5, which many players consider a bug or oversight. Factor that into your routing when corruption pushing.
Order matters more than totals. The Weaver Tree is a connected graph with gated nodes, not a flat list. Patch 1.5 even had to fix the Inescapable Omens node being unfocusable on a controller D-pad after earlier nodes were activated. A point spent in a leaf you cannot path to does nothing, so always verify your route before committing Memory Amber.
The Season 5 Weaver Tree rewards players who match their point spend to their current goal. Early on, snowball your point income through Echo Chain nodes and frequency buffs. Once you have a stable character, pivot into Rage of Morditas farming to capitalize on Ice and Blood Forging Potential drops, Withstand of the Elements, and Unsated Rage. If a specific unique is holding your build back, lean into the buffed imprint branch. For corruption pushing, build around the Gaze of Orobyss and Harbinger's Needle loop instead of raw drop nodes. Respec is cheap, so adjust often, and keep an eye on patch notes since the Portents of Blood fix in Hotfix 1.5.1.1 is a reminder that early-season planning can get rewritten mid-cycle.
