Leveling from 1 to 45 in AION 2 can feel overwhelming if you’re jumping in blind—but it doesn’t have to be. Once you understand how the quest structure works, how gearing and skill upgrades actually function, and which systems matter most early on, the leveling journey becomes smoother, faster, and way more enjoyable. Read this Aion 2 leveling guide, we share the best ways to level up fast!
How to Level Up Fast in Aion 2?
AION 2 gives you several types of content during the early game:
1. Yellow Quests (Main Story Quest – MSQ)
This is your primary source of experience. If you want to hit level 45 as fast as possible, just follow these quests. BUT: Main quests include harder bosses, which may be difficult if your gear or ping is low.
2 Green Quests (Side Story Quests)
Optional story content. These quests scale to your level, so doing them later is not harder. Good source of:
✓ gear
✓ Daevanion points
✓ enhancement stones
2. ?” Icons on the Map
These include:
• Sealed Dungeons
Short instances that scale with your level. Main reward: Daevanion Points (for skill upgrades). Must be completed anyway at 45.
• Strongholds / Forts
Small zones with enemies and objectives. Also scale with level. Provide Daevanion points, gear, and resources.
3. Side Content
Yes — absolutely. Even though they don’t give huge EXP, they give Daevanion points, which make your character massively stronger. You must clear them eventually (at level 45), so doing them while leveling is totally efficient.
How to Upgrade Gear in Aion 2?
You will constantly pick up new gear while leveling. Here's how to handle it:
1. Equipping New Gear
A green ↑ arrow means the item is stronger. Double-click to equip.
2. Enhancing Gear (Press N)
Use enhancement stones to level up the stats on gear.
Can you waste stones?
→ No. You can extract your old gear and get the stones back.
3. Extraction
Extracting gear returns all enhancement stones used on it. You only lose kina (currency spent), but early enhancement is cheap.
4. Which Gear to Upgrade While Leveling?
Upgrade your weapon FIRST.
Weapon upgrades = huge DPS increase
Armor upgrades = tiny defensive gain
Belt & Amulet
Use special materials instead of stones. Not important during leveling.
Extra Tip
Extract ALL unused gear to generate more stones. Use these stones to keep your weapon up-to-date.
Best Build to Level Up in Aion 2
Each class has:
11 Basic Skills
But only 8 skill slots:
4 on Left side
4 on Right side
Skills are often linked (conditional):
Example: Freeze (Q) → Frost Burst (requires frozen target)
Both trigger with one key.
MP System
Left-click regenerates MP. Most skills consume MP.
Skill Points
You get skill points from leveling. Spend them to level skills (up to Level 10 during leveling). You can reset all skills for free anytime.
What Levels Matter Most?
Skills unlock special bonuses at:
Lv 8
Lv 12
Lv 16
You want to push important skills to these breakpoints because they add features like:
cast while moving
self-healing
bonus damage
faster casts
Example (Sorcerer):
Firestorm Lv 8: cast while moving → mandatory
Blaze: heals 30% of damage dealt → essential for survivability
Aion 2 Daevanion – Massive Power Boost
Daevanion is one of the most important early-game systems.
How It Works?
4 Basic Daevanion trees (available while leveling). PvE & PvP trees (unlocked at 45).
Each node gives:
HP
Defense
Crit
Damage
Resistances
And importantly: skill level increases
Skill Level Boosts
Blue glyph → levels active skills
Green glyph → levels passive skills
Why Daevanion Matters
If you want an ability to reach:
Level 12 → unlock 2nd effect
Level 16 → unlock 3rd effect
you MUST upgrade it with Daevanion points. This is why doing Sealed Dungeons + Side Quests while leveling is mandatory—they reward the points needed to unlock these key skill upgrades. By level 45, you will have ~400 Daevanion points, which massively boosts:
HP
Defense
Attack
Skill levels
Overall power
This is the hidden strength behind smooth gameplay.
Aion 2 Boss Fights Tips & Tricks
AION 2’s bosses are reactive and often punishing, especially with latency. Here’s how to handle them.
1. Dodge Roll = I-Frame
Your dodge roll completely negates damage if timed correctly. You can dodge inside the AoE if your i-frame timing is perfect.
With ping:
→ roll slightly earlier than the animation.
2. Animation Lock
If you’re mid-animation:
you cannot dodge
you cannot move
This is why skills like Firestorm’s “cast while moving” are life-changing.
3. Learn Boss Patterns
Do not spam skills. Watch what the boss is doing and attack only when there is a safe window.
4. Use Scrolls (5-Minute Buffs)
These consumables are OP:
Combat Speed → faster casting
Movement Speed → easier dodging
Attack buffs → faster kill
Use them on:
Main story bosses
Hard instances
Combat speed especially reduces animation lock, making fights much easier.
