A Ladder character is made during the Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder season and exists separately from your non-Ladder characters and has no interaction with them while the Ladder is active. D2R Ladder characters compete on the Ladder leaderboard and can only interact with other Ladder characters. At the end of the Ladder period, all Ladder characters are moved into the non-Ladder pool. The leaderboards are available in different modes: hardcore, softcore, classic hardcore, and classic softcore, where players can see rankings based on experience and progress.
