When will the new Diablo 2 Resurrected season come out? This article mainly provides information about the upcoming Ladder Reset 2026, including the expected D2R Season 13 start date, Season 12 end date and tips.

Updated (February 7, 2026): Blizzard Entertainment officially announced Ladder Season 13 details on February 7, 2026, ending the earlier speculation and uncertainty.

D2R Season 13 Start Date - Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Reset 2026

Blizzard has officially confirmed that Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Season 13 will launch on February 20, 2026 (varies by region). Prior to the official announcement on February 7, 2026, there was widespread speculation across forums due to the lack of confirmed details—extending uncertainty beyond the initial projected window of late January to early February 2026. All uncertainty was resolved on February 7, 2026, with Blizzard’s official announcement confirming the Season 13 launch date and regional timings.

Precise D2R Ladder S13 Launch Timings (By Region)

Blizzard has officially confirmed the exact launch times for Season 13 across all regions, which do not occur simultaneously worldwide. Players are advised to note their regional time to avoid missing the start:

  • Europe: February 21, 2:00 a.m. CET / 1:00 a.m. GMT

  • Asia: February 21, 9:00 a.m. KST / 8:00 a.m. CST

Precise D2R Ladder S12 End Timings (By Region)

Contrary to the previous assumption that Season 12 would end on the same day Season 13 launches, Blizzard has officially confirmed that Season 12 will end on February 11, 2026 (varies by region), with a gap between the end of Season 12 and the start of Season 13. At the end of Season 12, all Season 12 Ladder progress (including characters, inventory, and leaderboard rankings) will reset, and all Ladder characters will be transferred to their respective non-Ladder group—consistent with Blizzard’s historical season transition rules. Additionally, important rules regarding Shared Stash loot apply.

  • North America: February 11, 9:00 a.m. PST

  • Europe: February 11, 6:00 p.m. CET / 5:00 p.m. GMT

Ladder & Non-Ladder Character in D2R

A Ladder character is made during the Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder season and exists separately from your non-Ladder characters and has no interaction with them while the Ladder is active. These characters begin with no pre-existing items, runewords, or advancements, and no one has powerful gear like Enigma or Shaco. D2R Ladder characters compete on the Ladder leaderboard and can only interact with other Ladder characters. At the end of the Ladder period, all Ladder characters are moved into the non-Ladder pool. The leaderboards are available in different modes: hardcore, softcore, classic hardcore, and classic softcore, where players can see rankings based on experience and progress.

Non-Ladder characters include all characters created outside of Ladder seasons or characters moved down from the Ladder pool once a season ends. Non-Ladder characters can freely interact with each other, but cannot interact with Ladder characters during an active Ladder season.

What to Do for D2R Ladder Reset Season 13 in 2026?

When a S13 Ladder reset hits in Diablo 2: Resurrected, it’s your chance to start fresh and climb the ranks fast.

1. Plan your builds ahead

Before you jump in, decide on a clear path for your character’s development. Begin with a focused leveling build that helps you quickly reach Hell difficulty, where the best loot drops. For example, use Fireball for early AoE as a Sorceress or summoner skills for a Necromancer. Once you’re strong enough, respecc into your main ladder starter build. Remember, respecc tokens are limited, so plan carefully to avoid wasting them.

2. Level up in groups

Take advantage of multiplayer games to level faster. Experience scales with the number of players, so teaming up for runs like Tristram, Tomb, or Baal can cut your leveling time by half. Use a mix of damage types and supportive buffs like Conviction or curses to boost your group’s efficiency. Even if you prefer solo play later, joining public games early is highly beneficial.

3. Use low-level runewords early on

Boost your power early by crafting useful low-level runewords such as Stealth (armor), Spirit (sword), Insight (for your mercenary’s polearm), and Lore (helm). These provide important bonuses like faster cast rate, skills, and mana regeneration that carry you well into Hell difficulty. Don’t overlook these affordable upgrades.

4. Check vendors for useful gear

Visit vendors regularly for useful magic find gear and leveling items. Boots, gloves, belts with resistances, and skill-boosting wands or staffs can make a big difference early on. Look for teleport staffs from Act 3 vendors to get easier mobility. Also, hunt for three-socket helms to add topazes for early magic find boosts.

5. Focus farming on efficient zones

Avoid lingering in Normal and Nightmare trying to farm rare gear. Instead, push through to Hell difficulty quickly. Target efficient farming spots like Countess runs for runes and keys, Chaos Sanctuary and Travincal for high runes, cows for runeword bases, and Andariel or Mephisto for unique and rare Diablo 2 items. Prioritize terror zone bosses like Diablo and Mephisto for valuable drops.

6. Build wealth smartly

Collect items that hold steady value early in the Ladder, such as perfect gems, crafting materials (perfect amethysts), mid-level runes like Shael, Sol, and Amn, and elite runeword bases like Monarch shields. Farming keys for Uber bosses is also a reliable way to accumulate trade currency and prepare for late-game wealth.

7. Trade early and wisely

The early Ladder weeks are when demand and prices for key items peak. Sell valuable items like Shako helms and Spirit bases quickly to maximize profit. Use the wealth gained to upgrade your gear later in the season. For faster trades, consider using trading websites or Discord communities instead of in-game trades, which can be slow.
