Lilith herself has partnered up with the Harajum to bring us a brand new, never-before-seen event. Seasonal Splender is here in Diablo 4 Season 9. Earn increased Horadric Phials in the Seasonal Realm. Read this D4 Seasonal Splendor event guide, we'll talk about locations, rewards, and farm tips.

Diablo 4 Seasonal Splendor Event Guide

From Aug 26, 2025, 7:00 AM to Sep 2, 2025, 7:00 AM, reap Horadric Phials at an improved rate across all sources in the Seasonal Realm for a limited time.  For the rest of Season 9, exchanging Horadric Phials at the Horadric Lapidary in Cerrigar now grants vastly increased amounts of Horadric Knowledge. On top of that, the mother's blessing has returned. From now all the way through September 9th, you're going to earn increased experience 35% and 50% more D4 gold at a multiplicative increased rate. So, this is going to be your chance to get your final pushes into your Paragon 300. If you wanted to gear up another character, this is an incredibly fast way to do it.

D4 Seasonal Splendor Event Locations

If you're on a seasonal character, it's going to be where your seasonal green leaves are. This is going to be your Herodic lapidary. You can exchange the herodic files that we've gotten to get your knowledge. 

D4 Seasonal Event Rewards

1. Herodric File & Knowledge Rewards

Greatly increased Herodric File drops from all seasonal content. Exchanging Herodric File at the Herajic Lapidary gives much higher amounts of Herodric Knowledge during the event.

Herodric Knowledge Uses:

Unlocks Mystery Greater Archetype Caches (guaranteed Greater Ancestral Gear). Contributes to maxing Seasonal Reputation (240,000 required).

2. Seasonal Reputation Rewards

Faster reputation gain means unlocking all Seasonal Progression rewards much sooner:

• Endgame crafting materials (including Sparks for Mythic crafting).

• Unique cosmetics & seasonal cosmetics.

• Power boosts tied to the Seasonal Reputation Board (affecting your seasonal character’s strength).

3. Guaranteed Endgame Gear

Mystery Greater Archetype Caches:

Contain guaranteed Greater Ancestral Gear (high-end, endgame-tier items). Can yield multiple Greater Ancestral items per cache depending on RNG. These are some of the best gear pieces available in Season 9.

4. Mother’s Blessing Buff Rewards

+35% XP (multiplicative):

Extremely fast leveling to Paragon 300. Perfect for gearing up alternate characters quickly.

+50% Gold (multiplicative):

Increased ability to reroll items, enchant gear, and invest in crafting before Season 9 ends.

5. Spark Farming Rewards

By leveling alts and completing reputation boards, you earn Seasonal Sparks:

Used for crafting Mythic items (top-tier endgame gear). This event dramatically speeds up Spark acquisition, allowing you to enter Season 10 with a full arsenal.

D4 Seasonal Splendor Event Tips

For Solo Players

1. New Character Leveling Route

Start Normal difficulty → unlock Reputation Board at Level 1 (~7 min). 

2. Farm Hell Tides

Go to Normal, farm ~900 Cinders by Level 15. Swap to Penitent difficulty → open Hell Tide chests (huge XP gain). Equip old character’s gear at Level 60 for instant endgame readiness.

3. Whisper Cache Method

Farm Grim Favors on a Level 60 → stash Whisper Caches. Swap to new character → open caches → instant Level 60.

4. Spark Farming for Mythics

Level alts to unlock seasonal Sparks (crafting Mythic items). Infernal Horde runs (with Mother’s Blessing active) = huge XP & reputation gains.

For Group Players

Pit Runs with a Friend

Friend opens high-level pits (you don’t need to be 60 to join). You gain XP + Reputation quickly without needing to unlock pits yourself.

Infernal Horde Farming

More elites = more reputation and Sparks. Faster reputation completion, more ancestral gear farming.

Discord Community Runs

Many groups exchange pit carries & farm together → fastest Spark farming method.

Best Builds for Diablo 4 Seasonal Splendor Event

Spiritborn – Thorns Poison (Balazan’s Rake Variant)

Utilizes Balazan’s Maxtlatl to convert Thorns into poison explosions—devastating AoE and boss damage. Easy gear scaling and requires minimal Mythics. Pit pushing (Tier 130+), heavy grinding, and dominating seasonal content with incredible sustained output. 

Sorcerer – Hydra Build

With Ophidian Iris, summons massive multi-headed Hydra for explosive burn damage and clear speed. Top-tier in AoE and speed farming. Best for clearing Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeons, and pushing mid-tier Pits quickly.

Necromancer – Hand-of-Naz / Blood Wave

Leverages minion-centric builds or wave-based damage for endgame scaling. Great choice if you enjoy automation.
