With the three new dfit cars added in February of 2025, there are currently 15 cars that have access to the drift tuning upgrade in GTA 5 Online, and although they're pretty fun to drive, there are some key differences that set each car apart. So, in this guide, we are going to be highlighting and explaining some of those differences and ranking every drift tuner car based on hundreds of hours of solo practice and tandems.
Now, before we get into these rankings, we want you guys to keep in mind a couple of things. The first is that these cars do feel fairly similar to each other and are all very fun to drive. There are some key advantages and disadvantages of each, which is what this video aims to highlight, but there's not as much of a disparity in drifting performance like there is with some of the low-grip drift cars. That made it very hard to rank a lot of these cars, but we are trying to identify the small differences between each one and rank them accordingly. Without further ado, let's start the ranking!
1. Annis Remus
Trade Price: $1.275.000 to $1.370.000
Now we've got a tried and true king of the drift tuning car: the Annis Remus. We are sure a lot of you were expecting this and might think this car is a bit played out, but there's just no denying how perfect a balance the Remus is. Everything that the ZR350 and the Nebula Turbo did great, the Remus does even better. It feels very smooth, fast, agile, and usable for any type of drifting you plan on doing. This isn't one of those "foot to the floor" kind of cars and definitely takes a bit more finesse to drive, but is extremely rewarding once you get the hang of it - it can be an absolute weapon and is so fine and satisfying to drive. It's a smaller and lighter car with a bit more grip, which means it feels faster and easier to tandem competitively. But because of its grippy nature, it does tend to feel a bit more prone to understeer and needs a lot of left foot braking to keep things fluid and smooth. Beyond that, the Remus has good power to make it usable when drifting at most speeds. Of course, considering this car's styling, customization, and solid performance that I just talked about, we think it makes sense why it's consistently been one of the best drift tuning cars in the game. And we'd say it's definitely worth checking out once you get a little bit more experience drifting the drift tuning cars.
2. Benefactor Vorschlaghammer
Trade Price: $1.790.000
With the new drift tuning cars added in 2025, nothing has changed to make us want to switch its position to be one of the best drift-tunable cars in GTA 5 Online. We feel like the Vorschlaghammer is pretty easily the most consistent at drifting. Despite being much larger than the Karin Futo GTX, we don’t think you would run into the issues of hitting other vehicles on the streets of Los Santos nearly as much as with some of the other cars we’ve discussed today. Although this car is on the heavier side and definitely feels a bit boaty compared to the other smaller and faster sports cars that we've seen, it's still very satisfying to drive. It's got the torque to keep longer slides going and has enough grip to feel maneuverable despite its higher weight. The only complaint with this car is that it can feel a bit understeery at times due to its softer suspension, but nothing really that would kill its handling too much. The Vorschlaghammer is an awesome car; it’s got great customization, looks great, and sounds great. It is definitely the number one drift tuner car in GTA Online.
3. Karin Futo
Trade Price: $9.000
The Karin Futo basically feels the exact same as the Karin Futo GTX; it just costs over a million dollars less if you are going off the trade price. If you count the non-trade price, it costs over $1.5 million less than the GTX while being just as small and nimble with the same responsiveness. It is just as fast-feeling. The only thing that the GTX does better than the regular Futo is in customization. The Futo, though, is definitely way better value-wise and is the best drift-tunable car in GTA Online in terms of value. This thing is by far the cheapest drift-tunable car in the entire game.
4. Karin Futo GTX
Trade Price: $1.192.500 to $1.590.000
The GTX is an awesome drift car in GTA Online; the main reason it’s so good is because of just how easy it is. However, it does have a little bit of skill that you can gain with the car to be that much better. We think the car being on the smaller side helps a lot to avoid pedestrians, vehicles, and other objects that might get in the way of drifting in GTA 5 Online, at least in free mode. The GTX also has great customization and is notable due to its appearance in Initial D. Overall, the GTX is awesome.
5. Annis ZR350
Trade Price: $1.217.000 to $1.615.000
The ZR350 is still one of the best drift cars in GTA 5. despite being one of the earliest to receive the drift tuning upgrade. This car has always been towards the upper end of the drift tuning cars and still manages to perform really well, even with the power nerf in place. Now, the ZR350 feels a lot like the Nebula Turbo in that it's very smooth and has good power, although the ZR350 is lighter and generally a lot more agile. The best way to describe this car is just solid. It's not perfect, but it does everything it needs to pretty well. It's not as fast as some other cars, but still holds its own in terms of power. It's reasonably light and agile while still having predictable and smooth handling. And it has great customization and overall street cred to top it all off. While it won't be the most competitive high-level car, it is great for beginners to practice with or just to chill and get some smooth tandems going. We'd say the ZR350 is definitely one of the better jack-of-all-trades type drift tuning cars that really anybody can have fun with.
6. Übermacht Cypher
Trade Price: $1.625.000 to $1.550.000
Out of the three drift-tunable vehicles that were released with the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC, we think the Cypher is easily the best of them all. It feels absolutely awesome to drive without drift tuning and feels naturally very good with drift tuning applied to it, especially compared to the Sentinel Classic Widebody and the Nebula Turbo, which are both significantly worse to drive with or without the drift tuning. The Cypher also has great customization due to it being released with the Tuners DLC, and it’s on sale the week that this video is going out. So, if you’re watching this shortly after it comes out, we recommend picking up the Cypher if it interests you.
7. Dinka Jester Classic
Trade Price: $790.000
And then we've got the new kid on the block here: the Dinka Jester Classic. The Jester Classic is a car that you've always been very critical of in GTA Online, largely due to the engine resistance that the car has, which makes it accelerate slower and have a worse top speed. Now, you might remember that this car, along with the Rune Cheburek, were two of the recent drift tuning cars Rockstar added where they forgot to nerf the effects of pre-applied power upgrades, meaning that equipping the engine, transmission, and turbo upgrades before applying drift tuning on these cars made them significantly faster. So, given that, the Jester Classic is easily the fastest and rowdiest drift tuning car that we have. And it is an absolute breeze to link together longer drifts in tandem competitively in this thing. This car's higher weight and slightly softer suspension than something like the Remus does make it feel a little bit less agile and a bit more boaty, but still extremely smooth and generally, as we said, very easy to drive. And even in that slower state, it still felt amazing. So, we'd say regardless of if this car ever gets patched, it's a must-own drift car.
8. Annis Euros
Trade Price: $1.350.000 to $1.800.000
Annis Euros actually feels pretty similar to the Annis ZR350. All things considered, the Euros tends to feel a bit more grippy, but has a similar amount of power to the ZR350. So, while it can't link together drifts as smoothly, it still is very responsive and snappy when it needs to be and generally has less understeer because it's got a stiffer suspension. In this way, I guess it's also like the Remus a little bit because it is a very point-and-shoot type car and can be competitive with enough practice. If you are looking for a forgiving car that's easier to get into more technical drifting with, we'd say the Euros is the way to go. And it obviously does benefit as well from having great customization like we've seen with the other LS Tuners DLC cars that we've talked about in this ranking list.
9. Fathom FR36
Trade Price: $1.610.000
As far as actual drift racing goes, the FR36 is one of the very best cars to use, if not the best car to use, if you want to try and win the drift racing. However, when it comes to free mode drifting, there are quite a number of cars that are superior to the FR36. Now, that’s not saying this thing is bad; it drifts just fine, nearly as good as any other car, but unfortunately, it lacks in customization, at least in my opinion, and I do feel like it is kind of boring compared to a lot of the other drift-tunable cars we have in GTA 5 Online. Still, it’s an awesome vehicle, and I would encourage you to buy one, just not as much as some of the other cars ahead of it on this list.
10. RUNE Cheburek
Trade Price: $145.000
This is among the three newest cars to receive drift tuning as an upgrade option in GTA Online. We were a toss-up as to where to put this vehicle, so we settled on the middle of the pack. It doesn't mean that this is a bad car, though; it is actually exceptionally good. The only issue we have with the car, which is also its biggest strength, is that it is extremely slow. This means you won’t get a lot of super high-action and intense drifting, but what you will get is an extremely easy car to drift with. The reason it’s so easy is that it is a tiny vehicle, and it’s so slow that you cannot possibly crash this thing. You can correct any mistakes you make before crashing; you really can’t mess it up. This car is an absolute riot to drive, and it’s super cheap. The only reason we put it in the middle of the list is that it takes absolutely no skill to drive, which you could argue makes it a much better car. Overall, his is one of the very best drift cars in the entire game, especially for the money.
11. Übermacht Sentinel Classic Widebody
Trade Price: $650.000 to $700.000
At number nine, we have the Ubermacht Sentinel Classic Widebody. This will cost you $650.000 plus an additional $700.000 to get the widebody kit on the Übermacht Sentinel Classic. This is one of the newer drift-tunable cars in GTA Online. I stand by what I said the last time that I ranked the drift tunable cars: the Sentinel Classic Widebody is just slightly better than the Dinka Jester RR, especially for how much less it actually costs. It has all the same great handling while being in a slightly smaller and lighter package, which helps a lot when it comes to drifting. The Sentinel Classic Widebody definitely deserved the drift tuning as an available upgrade for it, and I’m glad to see that it has it. I know a lot of you are probably going to be upset that this thing is ahead of the Dinka Jester RR, but honestly, I feel like this thing is just better.
12. Dinka Jester RR
Trade Price: $1.400.000 to $1.970.000
Here we have one that’s probably going to surprise a lot of people, and that’s the Dinka Jester RR. The Dinka Jester RR is one of the first batch of cars that had the drift tuning added to them when it first came out. I ranked it at number four when it initially released. It is just as good of a car as when we initially ranked it; however, we have had some really good cars come out with the last updates that have simply knocked the Dinka Jester RR down a few places. The RR is a really good car with a good balance for drifting while also being a relatively small vehicle with pretty good power. This car is one of the best drift cars in the game, but unfortunately, it just doesn’t keep up with some of the newer cars in my eyes. The price, in comparison to some of the cars ahead of it on the list, is quite expensive. This is the most expensive car on the entire list, and we don’t think you’re getting the full value of the car in drifting performance.
13. Declasse Drift Tampa
Trade Price: $995.000
While the Drift Tampa is a very fast and agile car, it is super prone to understeer and generally just has a bit too much grip to feel natural as a drift car. In addition to that, the Drift Tampa is just such a big and long car that it's not easy to maneuver in tighter, more technical lines and in tandems, especially when so much understeer is at play. But the Drift Tampa is much more fun to drive than the Drift Yosemite. Plus, it's pretty reasonably priced and got access to a bunch of new liveries with the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC, but that still wasn't enough for us to want to rank it higher than the rest of the cars on this list.
14. Vulcar Nebula Turbo
Trade Price: $797.000
The Nebula Turbo has been one of the more drifting-oriented vehicles in GTA Online over the years since it has been in the game, and then they added the actual drift tuning to it. Unfortunately, I think it is pretty easily one of the worst drift-tunable cars in GTA Online. Something with the steering just feels off to me. It also doesn’t feel like it has enough grip in the rear, which seems odd for a drift car, but it doesn’t feel right. Comparatively, it’s quite boring, which doesn’t help its case. Despite being one of the cheaper drift-tunable cars, we would recommend staying away from this one.
15. Declasse Drift Yosemite
Trade Price: $981.000 to $1.380.000
The Drift Yosemite remains the worst of all the drift-tunable vehicles in GTA Online. The Drift Yosemite, albeit a really cool truck with a decent price and tons of great customization, just doesn't feel very exciting to drive. While it is relatively smooth due to its good torque and high weight, it still feels very sluggish and has bouts of understeer during transitions and when entering into drifts. Even in drift races, you will face issues with this vehicle because of how big it is. It's very unfortunate, but this vehicle simply doesn’t have a chance against the rest of the vehicles with drift tuning available in the game.
And that is a wrap on our rankings of every single drift tuning car that we currently have access to here in GTA 5 Online. If you want to get a new GTA 5 Account with the rare and fully upgraded vehicles, check out the best deal on AOEAH.COM
