New World Season 3 700 Gear Score Guide - How To Get 700GS In New World Expansion

700 GS is the highest possible level gear can reach based on the current game systems. Reaching max GS is a sign of a highly optimized character. A lot of progression components are changing for New World and the way you progress is now going to be completely different. Expertise is no more and you're now going to need to obtain items at a specific gear score. The way you upgrade items has completely changed as well. Without further ado, let’s dive into how you get through 700 gear score quickly and easily in New World expansion.

How To Get 700 GS In New World Expansion?

All we're going to do is any of the items that you have got from the PVP reward tract we know it was stated. Items were going to be from 625 automatically upgraded if they were named from 590 to 625. However, those items from 625 previously to the patch were not going to be allowed to be upgraded to 700. Therefore we would have to go out and re-get those named items from the same bosses from 625 and then we could potentially for some of them not all of them upgrade them to GS 700 in New World Season 3.

1. Main Story Quest

The first thing that you want to do is jump into the main story quest of the new area plus the side missions in Elysian Wilds. This will easily get you up to around a 650 gear score if not higher. If you haven't already done them there is a brand new set of quests over in Edengrove where they have basically updated the settlement. Basically, you should get to level 65 fairly quickly.

2. Regular Expeditions

The next thing that we would recommend commend to do after this is set up yourself on the brand new Expedition or any of the other endgame Expeditions that you actually enjoy doing. The reason we recommend going into the Elysian Wilds, all you need to be is level 65 in order to be able to do this. As soon as you finish the main story quest or pretty much finish it, you'll be at level 65 and you can jump in there. This one is not supposed to drop 700 gear score items but this may change in the future. If it does cap out, it will be capped at 685 so it is still a very good step to get you in between the next set of gear.

3. Mutation Level 1 Expedition

After this point what we would recommend doing is going on to M1. The new system for mutations is M1, 2, and 3, so Intermediate. Hard and Elite. The first one only requires a 650 gear score and really is not that difficult, so you should be able to do this pretty easily as soon as you get to that 650 gear score mark. You might even be able to do this straight after the main story quest if you've incorporated a few side quests as well and got some lucky drops on your way around. At that point as well if they do patch the regular Expeditions dropping 700 gear score, just run M1's because these will of course drop 700 gear score. Mutations will always drop that max gear score so they will give you some boost. The advantage of doing this over the regular one is that the floor for the ceiling gear score so the lowest end of the gear score drops is actually raised as you go up the mutations. You have a much higher chance compared to regular of getting that 690 to 700 gear score drop.

4. Artifacts

Artifacts are the reward that you get from completing the main story quest which are the Attuned Leather Pants and artifacts come with a 700 gear score. You can also go and farm Odo this piece dropped from a boss over in the Isle of Zurvan and it was somewhere just up on one of the top Islands there. They're pretty easy to farm and there's a lot of big groups going for them at the moment. So you should be able to get some friends and get onto these, again this is another 700 gear score piece. There is some jewelry that you're able to get but currently, they're from mutations that are not on the rotation or from getting level 100 in the season pass which currently isn't working quite correctly either.

5. Crafting

If you do want to get your crafting skills up to new levels, everything has been increased to 250, you are able to craft some of the 690 or 700 gear score items. Weaponsmithing is now at level 205 which means that you have access to the mythril. These will require mythril ingots will only give it a 615 gear score. All you need to do is put in the brand-new prismatic planks, the brand-new prismatic leather, and the brand-new prismatic ingots. All of those added together will give you a gear score of 645. If you want to get this up to 700, you’re going to need trophies but you're also going to need the full set of armor and jewelry, as well as food buffs, etc. 

With all of these brand new endgame materials, you are going to be able to actually craft a 700 gear score. If you do want to craft 700 gear score and pick out all of the perks on it, so that you can craft essentially a BIS item, you will need to use one of these prismatic scarabs. What you will need to do is get to level 250 in stone cutting and then you will be able to combine 10 golden scarabs, 3 prismatic blocks, 500 azoth, and 50 pure solvents and then you'll be able to make one of these. It is a really good way to get yourself up there especially 690 to 700 very easily if you already have the gear sets and the trophies ready to go.

6. Open World Content

Another best thing to get 700GS in New World Season 3 Expansion is open-world content like chest runs or elite zones in general. Now the highest level areas such as the Elysian Wilds, Brimstone Sand, Shattered Mountains, etc. You're going to get normal mobs dropping you up to a 690 gear score and then from the named enemies and the chests in these elite zones, you are going to get yourself up to a 700 gear score. Also, the loot from these runs is highly desirable so it should be fairly easy for you to join a big group at around 640 to 650 gear score after the main story quest to get yourself some nice boosts.

7. Corrupted Portals

Corrupted portal caches can also drop up to 700 gear score in the Elysian Wilds, it's going to be in Brimstone Sands and Shattered Mountains. Often Shattered Mountains has regular runs as well with Brimstone. These do drop up to 700 gear score but they do have a larger pool of potential gear score so it may be less consistent than some of the other methods but it is still an option.

8. Mutation Level 2 Expeditions

These are a fair jump up from the M1 Expeditions especially when you are just on the 675 gear score just hitting that minimum requirement to get in. Do expect these to be fairly difficult, especially with random groups and especially on the new Savage Divide Expedition. Because people don't know the tactics necessarily but if you can get a good group or you can get a group of friends to do this with you, it actually can be a great way to get some more loot, especially that higher level stuff. Essentially as you go up, these Expedition mutation levels, you're going to have a higher floor level of loot. That does mean that the minimum gear score of items that will be dropped will be higher than the M1, so you have more chance of getting those 700 or at least the 695 plus pieces.

9. Mutation Level 3 Expeditions

These are really important because although they are going to be very difficult. Even if you aren't able to complete it within the time or with much score at all, they are still going to be worth running to get yourself up to that 700 set. While they are a lot larger of a difficulty jump from M2 than the previous incremental system that we had, these can only drop 695 to 700 gear score items, so you have a much higher chance to get those last few pieces all the way up to 700. Then work on replacing some of your less good gear into best in slot drops or at least just decent drops for Expedition farming. To be noted, you can do up to 35 mutations per week!

10. Quick Items To Get 700GS

The real quick ones you can do right now to get a New World 700 gear score is the PVP track like the Bowman's Pride, Frontline Point, etc.

How To Get This Items?

All you need to do is go to your Gypsum Kiln. You go all the way down and you're going to see Officer’s Ceremony PVP track, 500 vicious keenly empowered. You could change the third perk if we wanted to. Keenly empowered vicious penetrating backstab 700 gear score straight away. The only thing that is going to stop you from getting it instantly is you need 250 dark matter, 1 gypsum orb, and 3 chromatic seals. 3 chromatic seals are going to take you 3 days from the faction vendor. You can get one per 24 hours and you need the weapon matrix. So if you get the weapon matrix, if you can get your dark matter and you get your three chromatic seals, you can instantly have 700 gear score weapons from the PVP track which is massive.

There are some really good items there that can be used in war or could be used in open-world PVP. The other one is Bowman's Pride and you've got Frontline Point.
