Now looking back briefly to the pre-patch, Primal Storms was a multi-week Dragonflight event where there are air, earth, fire, and water primalists that come along. You can either fight them solo, in groups, or in raids. When they die they drop Primal Essence. You take this currency to your major city, you turn it in for gear. There are also achievements that go along with it, along with some pets and amount. It's pretty straightforward, the same exact thing is going to be happening in Dragonflight Season 1. Now except naturally, it's dropping different gear.

Dragonflight Primal Storms Release Date

When Season 1 of Dragonflight Mythic+ starts, Primal Storms will appear at random over the Dragon Isles.

Dragonflight Primal Storms Invasion Locations

You're going to see two x's on the map every eight hours. They will rotate so a new one will spawn every six hours, then it'll be active for two hours and so it's going to be eight-hour rotation. During the event, swarms of primalist mobs will spawn in certain areas marked on the map. It will be Northern Barrens, Badlands, Tirisfal Glades, and Un'Goro Crater.

Dragonflight Primal Storms Bosses

Every 50 minutes or so a minivan spawns where an elemental of this bone and nearby mobs will become imbued with the invading element and drop new primeval ascends. Since there are 4 types of invasions, each invasion fills the area with Primalist NPCs, as well as imbuing already existing NPCs in the area with abilities of the invading element. The boss is surrounded by a shield that is removed by killing 100 input mobs in their area. When The Shield is removed the boss can be killed for new loot and more primeval senses.

Dragonflight Primal Storms Rewards

1. Dragonflight Primal Storms Achievement

This WoW Dragonflight Primal Storms event has a feat of strength achievement attached to it. To earn this achievement, you must participate in killing every elemental including Unbridled Storm Lord (Un'Goro Crater), Rumbling Earth Lord (Northern Barrens), Raging Fire Lord (Tirisfal Glades), and Glacial Ice Lord (Badlands). 

2. Dragonflight Primal Storms Currency

Let's return to the special currency that we get during the invasions. The Primeval Essences can be used to buy gear and other items from Quartermasters tied to the Season 1 Primal Storms event in Dragonflight. These tokens can be gathered from a variety of sources primalist mobs during the Primal Storm boss spawns can drop from three to 5 Primeval Essence each. Primal Storm bosses drop from 15 to 20 Primeval Essence each. 

The quarter masses are Storm Hunter William located at Stormwind Harbor in Stormwind and Storm Huntress Suhrakka located at Dranosh'ar Blockade in Durotar. This gear is item level 252 for level 60 players, so it's descent catch-up gear for fresh alts. There is a price list for all pieces of gear.

Bracers, Belt, Cloak, Rings, 1H Weapons - 25 Primeval Essence

Boots, Gloves, Shoulders, Necklaces - 35 Primeval Essence

Helm, Chest, Pains, 2H Weapons - 45 Primeval Essence

3. Dragonflight Primal Storms Gear

The gear that we're looking for is located within the building in the main city. Mythressa, the Apprentice Primal Researcher offers it and the varying price just depends on which piece of gear you want. It starts at 359, but each week you can get an individual storm sigil which you turn in on top of the piece of gear and it will upgrade it to 385.

The first time around you would need to buy the cowl and then you turn the cowl back in with a storm sigil and it would upgrade it to 385. You cannot directly purchase the 385. Another thing to note is you can have one storm sigil per type of invasion. Meaning that there is air, earth, fire, and water. So technically after one week, you could have four pieces of 385 gear. 

4. Dragonfligh Primal Storms Mounts & Pets

Aside from that, there are two pets you can get and a mount. They all look pretty cool. We will be able to sell these at the auction house. Anybody who's a mount collector is going to be doing these invasions.

5. Dragonflight Primal Storms Sets

WoW Dragonflight Primal Storms even offers new sets including cloth set, leather set, mail set, and plate sets. If you only consider armor pieces, we need 315 Essences. Primal invasion gear has set bonuses for collecting 2,4 and 6 pieces of this set.

- 2 Set: Increase your highest secondary stat by 226

- 4 Set: When you kill an enemy that yields experience or honor, gain a spark of the primals. Once you reach 5 stacks, your next single target offensive ability will launch a devastating elemental attack.

- 6 Set: Fatal damage causes primal energy to overload, granting immunity to all damage and harmful effects for 8 sec. Can only be used outdoors in the Dragon Isles.

6. Dragonflight Primal Storms Trinkets

If you missed your chance to get the Unstable Elemental Confluence trinket. Now is your chance. Because in pre-patch, people were having a hard time with the Elemental Primal Invasions just some were not happening and people couldn't get it in time. So if you need to get this still, this is your chance. This trinket contains primary and the stats that deal elemental damage to the enemies. To Grab this trinket, you need must obtain a rare drop from all elemental lords and combine them.

7. Dragonflight Primal Storms Toys

The last thing that you can get from WoW Dragonflight Primal Storms Season 1 update is the Bag of Furious Winds toy. This toy can be purchased for 100 Primeval Essences from the event Quartermasters. The toy is someone's vacuum above your head which sucks in critters for 10 seconds and has 30 minutes go down.
