The first season of World of Warcraft Dragonflight is almost upon us, the Mythic+ season, featuring a variety of rewards, new world boss, mythic+ dungeon rotation & more! In today’s Dragonflight season 1 preparation guide, we're going to talk about everything coming in the very first season of the new expansion Dragonflight, start dates, Mythic+ Vault of the Incarnates, raid schedule, primal storms.

With the first World of Warcraft: Dragonflight raid, Vault of the Incarnates, the pre-season ends. Competitive guilds and players have leveled up and farmed as many items as possible in preparation for WoW Dragonflight Season 1. Below we go through everything that is coming with the brand new season, we explain the exact release times for Dragonflight season 1, alongside what the mythic+ dungeon rotation is and when can you expect the mythic+ vault of the incarnates difficulty to open up. 

WoW Dragonflight Season 1 Start Date - When Does Dragonflight Season 1 Release

Dragonflight season 1 is releasing very soon, it's releasing on December 13th on the NA region and on December 14th in the EU. This is obviously with the weekly resets and this is as expected. This one's a little bit different because it is so close to Christmas, they're actually changing up the release schedule of some of the things.

Mythic+ Vault of the Incarnates Raid For Dragonflight Season 1

This is the very first raid of the Dragonflight expansion, it is an 8 boss raid, it's like a Primalist Titan prison, it's really aesthetically pleasing MrGM did some testing on the beta, a lot of fun. The last boss is Raszageth, Raszageth is a character you will see throughout the Dragonflight leveling and the Evoker Starting Zone and that will be the final boss of the Volta of the incarnates Raid. This raid is releasing slightly differently to previous rates due to just being so close to Christmas. 

Raid Unlock Schedule:

- Week of December 13: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Vault of the Incarnates will open with the weekly maintenance for each region

- Week of December 19: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 1 opens

- Week of January 2: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 2 opens

- Week of January 16: Vault of the Incarnates Raid Finder Wing 3 opens

So on the first reset on December 13th for 14th depending on your region, normal, heroic and Mythic will be available to you from that very first day. So the Race World First for Mythic will begin on that day, and that'll be the very first time that everybody of all difficulties will be able to go into the raid. However, the first wing of raid finder will open up after that, the second wing of raid finder will open up in the new year on January 3rd or 4th and the final wing of raid finder for Vault of the Incarnates will open up on January 17th or 18th depending on your region.

It's got some really awesome primeless looking tier sets that drop from the raid as well. So Vault of the Incarnates is the brand new raid and the very first raid of Dragonflight, and as this is the first season that we've had cross-faction. Cross-faction mythic is going to be available from the very first day of the raid, however, cross realm mythic will not be available at the start, that will be available later on in the season, but you could go in cross-faction mythic from the very beginning of the release of the raid.

New World Boss For Dragonflight Season 1

Along with the raid, you're also going to get some brand new world bosses, there are four World bosses that can spawn on a weekly rotation. Each of them representing each of the primalist elements, you’ve got Baskikron-The Shale Wing, Bazual-Then Dreaded Flame, Liskanoth-The Futurebane, and Strunraan-The Sky’s Misery. So each of those will spawn on a weekly rotation in the Dragon Isles, so keep an eye on those primeless dragons around the Dragon Isles to get some awesome loot from those.

Dragonflight Mythic+ Season & Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation WoW Dragonflight Season 1

Also, we have a brand new season, it's a brand new season of Mythic+. Now Dragonflight is doing this slightly different to previous seasons because we're not getting all of the 8 dungeons for Dragonflight in the season 1. We are getting 4 of them though, we are getting the Ruby Life Pools, the Nokhud Offensive, the Azure Vault and the Algeth’ar Academy. However, in this first season we are getting some dungeons in this Mythic+ pool from previous seasons including the Halls of Valor from Legion, Court of stars from Legion, the Shadow Moon Burial Grounds from Warlords of Drano and the Temple of the Jade Serpent dungeon from Mists of Pandaria. So very exciting very awesome to see some of those old dungeons returning in the first season. 

In the next season, we'll get the other 4 Dragonflight dungeons, Mythic 0 will still be available for all of the 8 Dragonflight dungeons if that is something you still want to do. But if you do want to jump into Mythic+, you will have those 4 Dragonflight dungeons and those exit dungeons to choose from as well. 

By completing Mythic Keystone Dungeons in Season 1, you're going to get some brand new Mythic+ rewards with this very similar to previous seasons:

- Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season 1 - Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 1500 during Dragonflight Season 1 (Reward: the “Thundering” title).

- Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 1 - Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2000 during Dragonflight Season 1 (Reward: Mount: “Hailstorm Armoredon”).

-The Keystone Conqueror season 1 of getting 1500 score during season 1 is the “Thundering” title.

- Dungeon Teleports (Earned for each dungeon by completing a +20% or higher in that dungeon).

-Title awarded to players in the top 0.1% of Mythic+ rating in each region at the end of the season (Reward: “The Thundering Hero” title).

PVP Season for Dragonflight

This is a brand new PVP season, you can get some of this gear pre-season and some of you have if you're into PVP you can get the honor gear, the Crimson Aspirant gear. Obviously, with the big profession update you can also get the Crimson Combatant gear from crafting, so you can grab on the auction now. Conquest PVP gear & the Crimson Gladiator set will be available once the season begins. With this first real season of rated solo shuffle, you can do rated solo shuffle to get all of the rewards apart from the Gladiator Mount. Everything else will be available through rated solo shuffle just not the actual Gladiator Mount itself.

Dragonfligt Season 1 Primal Storms

Finally, with Dragonflight,there is one extra feature that is coming in season 1 and that is the Primal Storms, this is something that was featured quite heavily on Alpha and beta and then swiftly removed. So this is coming in season 1, this is an Outdoor World content, similar to the pre-patch event in a sense. Around the Dragon Isles you'll get different areas that will be invaded by the Primal Storms. During this time, the NPCs in that area will be empowered and will start dropping elemental overflow. This is currency you can use to buy gear, this gear is item level 359 and you can just buy that. This 359 gear can be upgraded to 385 through the Storm Sigil system, you can get 4 a week from the different elemental invasions, you just use that currency and the 359 gear to upgrade it to 385 and that's going to take about 16 weeks to get a full set.

So, that is all of the things coming in Dragonflight season 1. This launches on December 13th in the n a region and December 14th in the EU, this could be very fun. Dragonflight has been super great so far and hopefully the season 1 offerings continue that trend of making it a very fun expansion!
