Elden Ring 1.07 Faith Weapon Tier List - Best Faith Weapons After 1.07 Patch

11/3/2022 1:14:26 PM

After the big major 1.07 update in Elden Ring, since some Ash of Wars and spells have been greatly changed, some faith weapons have been greatly improved and some have lost their meta. So what is the best faith weapon in Elden Ring now?  In this guide, we are going to rank all these types of weapons and sort out the new Elden Ring 1.07 Faith Weapon Tier List for you.

Elden Ring 1.07 Best Faith Weapon S Tier

No. 1 - Godslayer's Greatsword (S Tier)

Godslayer's Greatsword is the best faith colossal sword above even Maliketh still. Now colossal swords have had those Buffs and Nerfs, the Poke is a lot worse but the basics have improved, and that really helps this weapon with its unique vertical moveset giving it more poison stagger is fantastic. Considering it has one of the fastest colossal sword base movesets in the game, that's been improved even more. It also has won an incredible Ash of War - one of the first to get a faint, so you can cancel out of it when you use it costing no FP, also it's a multi-hit combo with great range on the Blackfire which deals damage over time and more depending on how much health the enemy has. From how it plays to its design, to just how effective it really is, this is the best colossal sword undeniably and that's why we have it as an S grade.

No. 2 - Blasphemous Blade (S Tier)

The Blasphemous Blade remains in S Tier as well, it is just absolutely overfilled with benefits. The lifesteal on damage and on kill, even if you're not using it, it's just on your back you get Lifestyle on kill. It's physical on fire so super buffable it has a ridiculous Ash of War  which Super Range on it. Great swords in two hand have been buffed and this weapon's Ash of War now deals damage with the sword itself not just the fire, so that's even better as well. As a weapon it's one of the best just flat out and the best remembrance boss weapon, it's just great in any build that can run it and now it's somehow even better.

No. 3 - Golden Order Greatsword (S Tier)

Golden Order Greatsword has gotten buffed in various ways in previous patches and left it in 1.07, so it remains really good except for the fact that great swords in two hand have been improved as well making this weapon even more viable. The base damage and the design are bot fantastic, has great greatsword movesets. The Ash of War of two hand swords have been made much faster now, has the explosion come out quickly then the follow-ups strike quicker, what's more they have this super long-ranged golden arc swipe. It's an outstanding weapon and incredibly effective. And perfect if you were to duel it with Blasphemous blade because that's just an awesome combo.

Elden Ring 1.07 Best Faith Weapon A Tier

No. 1 - Envoy's Long Horn (A Tier)

Envoy's Long Horn is a bit of a gimmick weapon and concept, it is undeniably very effective. The outrageous DPS potential is due to the fast spammable cast of the bubbles Ash of War and low FP costs that, you can just spam these Bubbles and burst down pretty much any enemy and any boss mass simply effectively. As a great hammer, this poise damage has improved this patch as well as its poised rating, so essentially with this weapon staggering enemies more effectively and efficiently even the basic attacks are better. Not to mention the bass AR to this solid strength of Faith weapon with the scaling, it's very respectable. So as a PVE weapon, this weapon can be ranked very high, after further looking into it is a powerhouse, but it's a bit of a meme pick in PvP, so a high A grade seems fair ranking to it.

No. 2  - Magma Wyrms  (A Tier)

With the curved great swords being puffed in 1.07 for better motion speed on strong and charge attacks and better recovery, this Magma Wyrms scale sword has a much better baseline in 1.07 though its Ash of War was specifically buffed for better poise and stamina attack, making it an even better trader than it already was. As a fire and physical weapon though, this is obviously really super buffable in many ways to really get the massive AR, as well as having a unique heavy with a sort of Guillotine idea behind it. So it's a pretty unique play style it's a very unique-looking curve great sword. Even though it's more of a colossal curved great sword, it has the range of any curve great sword, so it has a shorter range than we might think it would when we use it. Overall, it is a very fun weapon to use and a very good faith weapon randing into A tier.

No. 3 - Maliketh's Black Blade (A Tier)

Destined Death weapons are also updated in this 1.07 patch. The colossal swords have been buffed and nerfed in this patch, they have much more effective Poise damage to stagger, and whole people in place leading to multiple hits that are great against bosses, some of the base moveset's been improved in their motion speed which is very important. But at the same time, the Crouch poke spam is now newly nerfed. The play style of these weapons has changed a bit and it's more in line with how it should actually be. This weapon specifically is Ash of War the motion speed was improved so it comes out quickly, and the Destined Death effect now has been buffed so it lasts a lot longer like upwards of a minute from say 15 to 20 seconds before, that is a major difference. So we think it deserves an A-grade spot.

No. 4 - Black Knife (A Tier)

Black Knife also got improved in this patch for its Destined Death effect, also lasting a lot longer in the same way, but that's the only change. Now in a previous patch, the Ash of War was made a lot quicker and it does have some hyper armor on it, so the Ash of War on this weapon is one of the best in the game because you get the deaths and death effect you get the damage and you get damage over time, you can simply spam this Ash of War and do really well or you could pair it up with another black knife and do loads of power stands striking. This is the best dagger that you can use in the game especially for Faith undeniably.

No. 5 - Magma Blade (A Tier)

As a curved sword in power sense, it has an incredible moveset where you can attack super quick and therefore get loads of DPS. As a fire and physical weapon, it's super buffable so with all those hits hitting a lot you can make them do deadly damage. The Ash of War is an incredible combo tool or trading tool making it really effective in PvP where you can just constantly barrage your opponent with attacks and then as soon as it's finally their turn Ash of War spin into them and spread lava everywhere. Of course there are so many sections of PVE where fire is super effective and therefore this weapon is just a machine and it looks cool too.

No. 6 - Sacred Relic Sword (A Tier)

The final boss weapon with two handing of great swords is slightly improved. This weapon is better than it was but it's still best in PVE with its holy damage where enemies are weak to that, of course it has the crazy wide range Ash of War for farming runes we all know and it's a cool looking weapon with a Golden VoW. Its output is just fine and its AOE potential is the best in the game, on that alone we think it deserves to be an A grade. But in PvP that Ash of War is still really never going to land, people seem to be able to avoid it super well, in Ash of War that's where that will shine where people aren't able to pay attention as much. And the fact that you can cover so much ground with the Ash of War makes a difference there.

Elden Ring 1.07 Best Faith Weapon B Tier

No. 1 - Unblockable Blade (B Tier)

With the older Ash of War on Unblockable Blade, the sword remain kind of poor at that point. In 1.07 things have changed though, the FB cost is down and the movement speed is faster meaning you can throw it out in combos or even land it without major issues now a relevant and viable Ash of War. The other Unblockable Blade also had its attack power increase in this patch as well as better recovery time, so they've both been improved, the ash part of this weapon was the thing that was lacking the most and they've specifically targeted that. But there is still only holy damage as weapons, so enemies that are resistant to that it's always going to be a problem, that's why we put them at a high B grade.

No. 2 - Inseparable Sword (B Tier)

A lot of people took issue with this weapon, in defense it was indeed literally the worst weapon if you just use the banished sword and put on the same Ash of War, so by comparison this weapon really wasn't worth acknowledging at the time. However, we have had some improvements since then, great swords in two hand which this weapon is perfect for have been improved, its Ash of War was specifically improved as well, the motion speed of that and the range of the blade itself was buffed so the speed was massive for its viability and use but the range was really nice. Further, the weapon will deal damage too, further on the Ash of War the hit of the weapon will also deal damage, meaning if you use it like close up melee distance you'll get an extra burst as the sword hits as well as the holy sort of Ash of War.  Finally the attack power of the buff itself was improved and it lasts way longer, so clearly this web weapon is improved, as well as it being an undeniable very cool looking sword with a pretty fairly unique Musa. The problem is again, the banished sword exists it's the same move set, you can put the same Ash of War on it, but this weapon is in a better place and a good place at that.

No. 3 - Siluria's Tree (B Tier)

Siluria's Tree is also newly made it to the tier list, a coolest spear that some of The Crucible Knights use, it has had some improvements itself. Specifically the Ash of War Siluria's Woe has had its motion speed massively improved which means you can actually land the thing in PvP against those that's trying to avoid it, so some relevance improvements there. But it deals more damage in PVE, it comes with its own hyper armor so you can trade with the Ash of War now. And the weapon has damage detection as well, so you can use it at melee range, hit with a weapon and the Ash of War,  and get an even bigger burst. You can tap the Ash of War and it'll do a quick slam down in a holy explosion at close range, or if you hold it, it'll charge up and shoot out this beam of light at a very respectable range, that beam can now penetrate enemies meaning you can get multiple hits or AOE possibilities. So that's a massive improvement for this weapon in the Ash of War specifically in various ways which is really all it needed, the weapon was always solid as a great spear with a good moveset but now it's a really good pick.

No. 4 - Halo Scythe (B Tier)

These weapons are still B grade, despite one of them being improved - these are the wing scythe and the holy Scythe, both for strong early to mid game and you can get both very early in your playthrough. The wing Scythe has some impressive movement on the Ash of War and if it lands it'll even prevent enemies from healing for a period which is very nice in PvP. However, it was only the Halo Scythe that saw any technical buff since last time, in this patch the weapon's Ash of War has made it, so the weapon deals damage as well as the holy attack itself.  So using it in melee range will actually result in a double hit a physical and holy making the damage even better. With that in mind we actually think the Halo Scythe should be the higher rated between the two of them but we still hold them at a B grade.

No. 5 - Vyke's War Spear (B Tier)

Vyke's War Spear was completely untouched by various balance changes. Since the original frenzy update, it's a solid spear with a great moveset with frenzy tied to its base damage. It's one of the best if not the best frenzy-based weapons. If you have an enemy that's vulnerable to frenzy, then of course it's going to be great. The problem is that some foes are immune to it in fact most bosses, so that's obviously a major issue, though still solid with like that fire aspect and the physical damage and the moveset being strong. By no means is it a bad weapon when frenzy isn't working but it's just so much better when it is such as in PvP where it works so well, so we still hold the weapon in B grade.

No. 6 - Staff of the Avatar (B Tier)

Staff of the Avatar has been buffed. It's a high AR Faith weapon with a colossal moveset which yet colossal moveset was improved this patch as well with better Poise that leads to better staggers against even bigger foes, so it's solid. It's just a bit dull, the Colossal moveset just as lacking in variety, it's all like the same kind of slam attack at different paces. In this patch, it was improved slightly to have better attack power in PVE and also has faster recovery, it's high AR and effective as a faith strength weapon, so we put it at the end of B grade.

Elden Ring 1.07 Best Faith Weapon C Tier

No. 1 - Marika's Hammer (C Tier)

Marika's Hammer is just never been great due to the tiny range in general DPS output. With better poison armor, it's logically going to stagger players less in PvP now as well, now the Ash of War on it is better, it had speed improved in previous patches, and in this patch the actual attack power is improved in PVE specifically. So you can really rely on that Ash of War to carry you, it's just a shame that even though it's got a cool moveset and many hits and long combo, just there are no proper hits or chunks of these small hammers.

No. 2 - Blade of Calling (C Tier)

Essentially Blade of Calling is the golden version of the black knife, with less damage overall due to the dot of the black knife actually adding more damage over time and therefore equaling more output than this dagger can put out with an Ash of War. However the Ash of War does stagger foes really effectively which is a big plus, but you can't deny that the black knife has better scaling and therefore has higher output than the Blade of Calling even on the base hits.

No. 3 - Beast Claw (C Tier)

The great hammer has improved in various ways in this patch, but we still just don't think it's that great as a great hammer it has the same Buffs we mentioned for Envoy's Long Horn with better poise on its attacks and the Ash of War was buffed slightly for PVE to have better damage. However, we still feel the weapon is lackluster, where the Envoy's Long Horn can really rely on its natural water just to outclass any opponent in terms of PVE anyway, the Beast claw just can't do the same as a neat weapon with a cool design. But we think it deserves more of a unique Ash of War. Something with more infant power behind, it is still viable and it's a good weapon and that's why it's on the list.
