EA FC 24 Best Icon - FC 24 Max 87 Base Icons Tier List

There are a few absolute standout ones and we're going to be ranking the best EAFC 24 Icons in regards to purely based on SBC not in general. For example, if we put Vidić in the S tier on this EA FC 24 Max 87 Icon tier list and Verón in D, it doesn't mean Verón is bad. We’re purely going off the actual players that you can get from this SBC against each other. The difference between the S tier and the A tier is a very small margin for this SBC. There are a few players that probably could go in the S tier or the A tier depending on how you look at it. Any of these B tier cards won’t hit in the A tier. All of them are decent and usable cards at this stage of the game but all of them are lacking a little something. Now, let's check our EAFC 24 max 87 Icon tier list Ultimate Team.

S Tier

  • Fernando Torres

The best player you can get from this SBC hands down is Fernando Torres. If you do get him, you've won it. He's about 800k on the market. The Finesse shot play style plus is huge this year and Torres has that. He's also got Chip Shot, Power Header, Rapid, Trivela, Quick Step, and Flair. Moreover, he's four star four star with a very nice pace and shooting, and good dribbling to partner that as well. It might be the most expensive but Torres is the best FC 24 Icon without a doubt.

  • Michael Essien

Michael Essien is another best EAFC 24 Icon but a little bit cheaper than Torres. He has a Jockey play style plus, Power Shot, Incisive Pass, Press Proven, Anticipate, and Relentless. As a CDM is a whole host of phenomenal traits. You could even play him as a box to box center but he's more suited as a CDM. He has insane defending, decent dribbling as well, his pace looks good, and physicals that are just off the screen right now. Overall, a pretty solid great card and belongs in that S tier on our FC 24 Icons ranking.

  • Gianfranco Zola

Gianfranco Zola has Finess Shot playstyle plus, Dead Ball, Technical, Flare and Trivela. He's got a crazy cracked quick explosive body typing game with insane dribbling stats, a very respectable pace, and phenomenal finishing and passing. He's a brilliant player and belongs in that S tier alongside Mr. Torres and Essien.

  • Gianluca Zambrotta

We put him in the S tier on the FC 24 Ultimate Team max 87 Icon tier list because he probably is one of the best right backs in the game. He is an all-rounded right back and he is only 500k. Could have had a better play style plus but not too shabby goes all game. He also has Block, Slide Tackle, Press Proven, and four star five star. The stats aren't mind-blowing but he's insane. He's so good in the game and you've been lucky enough to get him you since he is one of the best icons in EA FC 24. He's going to be in your team for a very long time and he will be undroppable for a few months.

  • Claude Makélélé

Claude Makéléléis expensive, he's 569k. We have Block play style plus, Intercept, Relentless, Press Proven, and Slide Tackle. He could be one of the craziest out and out CDMs right now with low high work rates. He is a defender but an annoying quick and really fast midfielder. His dribbling is phenomenal, the balance, the agility, the reactions, the ball control, the composure, the defending stats also crack. Physicals are great with 90 stamina, 83 strength, and 87 aggression, what a player! If you get him, absolute W. The S tier is where he belongs.

A Tier

  • Michael Ballack

Michael Ballack's going to be towards the top of A. He is well rounded, he has a Power Shot play style plus for those long shots which is nice because he's got great shot power and long shots. Decent finishing as well with 100% play him as the box to box center mid. Medium high work rates make it a bit tough to be box to box, he's more defensive naturally. Still a nice card with good dribbling, good defending, great shooting and he's just an absolute presence in the midfield this year. A decent card you should get!

  • Frank Rijkaard

Frank Rijkaard is the craziest center back CDM hybrid out of this pack. Intercept, Power Shot, Anticipate, Trivela, Block, and Incisive Pass as well. He is a very nice solid card however he is big, bulky, and clunky. However, as a center back, he's really solid. Give him a shadow chem style, utilize the defending, the physicals, and the pace here, you could be fantastic. He's a brilliant option not quite in the S tier but top of the A on the EA FC 24 Icon card tier list.

  • John Barnes

Even though he's not as expensive as some of the cards, could find his way sneaking into the S tier. Because the technical play style plus is insane, moreover he has Finesse Shot play style, Quick Step, Trivela, Incisive Pass, and Flair. He has four star four star, left footed however he's a little bit clunky in the game. Technical play style helps that and makes it feel a bit quicker. Overall, reliable shooting, decent passing, and physicals as well make him a brilliant card. Rightfully belongs in the A tier for the FC 24 Icon player tier list.

  • Emmanuel Petit

This man is an animal, he's everywhere and he suffocates you in the game. He is a left back center mid, probably a box to box center mid, or an out and out CDM, or a more attacking CDM. He has three star three star which isn't ideal. Lengthy high high, has great stats, great dribbling, decent defending stats, and great physicals. He is a bully. Relentless play style plus is decent but could be better. He also has Intercept, Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Press Proven, Incisive Pass, and Power Shot Traits which are phenomenal. He probably could squeak into the S tier.

  • Ashley Cole

He's the best left back you can get from this SBC and he is still very usable. He's very solid but nothing crazy in the game. He's going for about 250k. He's got pace, solid defending, physical stats, and a very decent pull.

  • Nemanja Vidić

Another man into the A tier of this FC 24 Max 87 base Icon card tier list is going to be Nemanja Vidić. He is a very solid center back at this stage of the game with Bruiser, Aerial, Block, Jockey, Power Header, and Slide Tackle play style plus. Two star three star is fine. His defending stats cracked, great dribbling, and a decent pace. If you get him, stick him in your center back spot and he'll do fine.

  • Sol Campbell

Another A tier center back is Campbell. He's towards the bottom of this EA FC 24 Icon rankings. But if you get him, definitely use him in your team because he is cracked this year. He has a Slide Tackle play style plus, Block, Bruiser, Aerial, and two star three star is the same as Vidić but not as well rounded as Vidić. Still definitely a very solid card though with great defending stats. A nice Icon you can get from 300K which is a W!

  • Luis Hernández

He costs 200k even though he's not the most expensive Icon, he could squeak just into the bottom of the A tier. Mainly because of the pace, the dribbling, and the shooting. He doesn't have any decent finishing play styles which is kind of disappointing but we do have Chip Shot.

B Tier

  • Ian Wright

Ian Wright has the Chip Shot play style plus and four star three star skills. He's a little bit clunkier but the small body typing game makes him feel a little bit quicker than what the stats are saying. He has great shooting and decent pace.

  • Robert Pirès

Even with the Finesse Shot play style plus, he's still a little bit underwhelming, not too crazy. Price-wise 200k is pretty solid to be fair. We do have the Fitness Shot play style plus, Technical, Flare, and Quick Step. He has a nice passing, very good pace, and respectable shooting but nothing crazy. An a pretty standard B selection.

  • Frank Lampard

This time, he has three star four star, he can play all across the midfield and he's got some really nice play styles. Power Shot play style plus, Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Pinged Pass, Tiki Taka, and Press Proven. His pace isn't crazy and he's more on the clunkier side but relies on the outside the box shooting. Overall, he has unbelievable passing, decent defending, and physical but dribbling, close control dribbling isn't too shabby. He's 200k which is a little expensive.

  • Davor Šuker

Davor Šuker isn't crazy expensive but he's still a decent card. He is four star four star, left footed, and has a Trivela play style plus. If you do have him, playing with that left striker cutting in, utilizing those Trivelas. He's got some decent pace and dribbling stats but it's mainly the shooting that makes him a strong advocate for this B tier. Overall, not super crazy but just decent.

  • Robbie Keane

Big Robbie Keane has no pace.

  • Clarence Seedorf

Seedorf looks well rounded to be fair, decent card but nothing crazy.

  • Xabi Alonso

Not a lot of pace in Xabi Alonso.

  • Hernán Crespo

Crespo is okay. He has the Finesse Shot, Power Header and he could be phenomenal for you if you pack him and use him as a striker. Especially at this stage of the game, he looks very good because of his great finishing, dribbling, and pace but not on the level of these players in the A tier.

  • Gennaro Gattuso

Gattuso as a CDM, not too shabby, decent play styles but nothing insane.

  • Juan Sebastián Verón

Verón is more of a box to box center mid. He has great long shots, great shot power, and great passing but still not amazing with that lack of balance and agility.

C Tier

  • Henrik Larsson

Even though he has the hair trait in the game, unbelievable locks in the game and might be just sneaking into the B. Larsson is probably the EA FC 24 best Max 98 Base Icon on the C tier. He has Finesse Shot, Chip Shot play style plus, and three star four star. Moreover, he has the pace, really good shooting, and good dribbling. Three star four star isn't great but definitely towards the top of that selection.

  • David Trezeguet

David Trezeguet is too big, too slow, and too clunky. He has great shooting once you get him in shooting positions, but being real nowhere near as good as any of these other cards.

  • Patrick Kluivert

Once he's in the position, he's clinical. He's quite powerful running him behind but still more on the clunkier side. Not the greatest play style. If you do pack him, give him a go, no harm in trying him out.

  • Ian Rush

Rush is the least hyped out of any of these. Three star four star, high medium. He has a First Touch play style plus, Finesse Shot is not bad, and the ball controls are okay. But a little bit slow and a little bit lacking in most meta departments.
